8. Process Edit curriculum after deadline

Updated om

Each year after the timetable has been finalised, the procedure for making changes to the curriculum after the deadline is made available so that changes can still be made to the curriculum.

Changing a Curriculum

The educational programmes that need to be changeable are set to the Processed status by the Faculty's Functional Administrator after scheduling. This makes the programme re-openable for the programme coordinator.

The coordinator searches for the programme that needs to be adjusted. On the general page click on Reopen at the correct process. The workflow will appear in your task list and open on your screen at the same time. If you want to go through the workflow later, click it away. You can proceed with it at a later time by opening the correct task in your task list on your dashboard.

Change courses in curriculum

In this workflow, you can make changes to the content of the curriculum: you can add, remove, and move courses within the programme.
Done by: programme coordinator

In the list view, everything is displayed in a hierarchical structure, while in the planning board view, you see the same data based on the offer period. You can adjust the curriculum in the list view. You can then check the curriculum again via the planning board view. In both views, you can see which parts have been changed via the Changes button.

After you have made your changes, go to Finish. Click on Send. In the mandatory comment field, indicate what you have changed so that your colleague who will be processing the changes knows what to look out for.

Process Changes to Curriculum

In this workflow, you will see which changes have been made in the previous workflow by means of a change report, so that you can process them in uSis.
Done by door: administration uSis

Hopefully, your colleague has provided a better description of the changes than in this test example.

Using the comments, the change overview, and the change button on the structure page, you can find out what changes have been made and implement them in uSis.
For an explanation of how the change overview works, see 10. Hoe werkt een wijzigingenrapport?
You will often find it easier to use the “Changes” button.

When you select the “Changes” view, you will see all the changes made to the curriculum compared to last year. There may be more changes here than just the one your colleague has just made. All changes made in the first half of the year in the Curriculum Development process are now also visible here. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided. You will therefore still need your colleague's comments.

Reject or send

If the change is not permitted, or if your colleague has provided insufficient information and you are unable to identify/process the changes, you can return the curriculum to the programma coordinator. Clearly indicate what the problem is in the comments field. (Of course, it is up to you to decide whether it might be more convenient to drop by the coordinator's office).

Once you have processed the changes, select “Send”. The educational programme will then be given the status “Processed”.

Processed

This is the status assigned to the process once the previous workflows have been completed and finalised. If necessary, the programme coordinator can reopen the curriculum.
